there are only two places in the world where we can live happy, at home & in paris

July 25, 2011

the last few day’s……..friday night we went to a mexican restaurant in the marais…….marie cybele’s friend knew the owner…….

earlier i went to the sacre cour to light candles and tell someone off who was going to take a picture of the Virgin mary….it’s NOT  allowed!!!

she tried to pretend she was spanish and didn’t understand but i wasn’t having any of it……

so back to friday night..

we zipped over there in a cab and  the restaurant was a shock initially…

tres tiny!!!!

the host suggested we have drinks before so we squeezed past those perched on narrow stools a door opened into what seemed the hugest space after what we passed..

very alice in wonderland….

we ate afterwards and the food was delicious…

i had one more glass of champagne and then went home…

i’m a lightweight in the drinking department…

after not being sure of the space i really liked it…

we all thought it was very sex and the city…

saturday i went to see midnight in paris near saint germain des pres…

i liked it….

after ……..dinner in a cosy monmartre restaurant that marie cybele and i went to earlier in the week…

i love it…

they were playing back to black….

so it was weird to  wake up the next morning and check into the news online for the first time in days to news of amy winehouse…

i wasn’t surprised……

one of my favorite lines of hers is………”i cried for you on the kitchen floor”

sunday and sunshine!!!!!

we went for brunch in monmartre……with magazines…

and had a snooty waitress that we felt like not tipping but we did

then the louvre…

then on for dinner which was Japanese…
